Today I would like to talk about my TOP 5 essential tools to help you manage your social media platforms.
Being an entrepreneur of any kind is no joke and running a business requires much time. So does managing your social media platforms. While big companies have a luxury of hiring a team to manage their social media platforms for them, smaller entrepreneurs have to find other ways how to stay on top of their game.
So the best way to do so is by using a set of tools! Why do you need a team when you have a software for everything, right?
If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know how much I talk about planning. Planning is THE KEY to staying consistent and reaching your goals when it comes to everything in life.
So, I have a list of 5 amazing tools that will help you run your social media platforms easy and stay on top of your game. So you could be concentrating on growing your business!
Let’s get started, shall we?
1. PLANN for Instagram management.
Instagram is by far my favourite social media platform out of all out there. However, coming up with content to post on it can be a pain in the ass if you don’t prepare well.
Also, when you are busy with other things in life, it can be hard to remember to post on Instagram! Because posting at certain times is crucial for your account growth, forgetting to post is not an option.
There is plenty of Instagram management apps out there with different features and pricing. However, my favourite out of all I have tried is Plann.
With all the features they offer and their blog (check it out for more Instagram tips!) it is a winner in my book! So, let me explain to you better what makes is a perfect Instagram management tool:
1. You can quickly schedule posts, and it will send you a reminder when it’s time to post.
2. You can schedule your stories as well!
3. Plann has a ‘strategy feature’ which lets you create your overall Instagram strategy and see how it will look in your feed.
4. It has analytics that shows you your post-performance, best-performing hashtag sets, your colour palette (!) and best times to post.
5. You can create your hashtag sets.
6. It has this sneaky feature called ‘sneak peek’ which analyses other peoples profiles and gives you their analytics.
All in all, this app is excellent! It has features that can help you visually see your brand and improve it and it gives you the analytics of other people! You can see what posts are doing the best from other accounts and learn from them.
They have four different plans, and all of them are pretty affordable:
1. Little is free and lets you manage 1 Instagram handle, schedule 30 posts a month, have one hashtag set and analytics.
2. Basic is $6 a month, allows you manage1 handle and access to all the features.
3. Premium is $12 a month, and you can manage three handles and access all the features.
4. Unlimited is $18 a month and gives you manage an unlimited number of Instagram handles plus access to all the features.
However, as an entrepreneur, you don’t need fancy plans, and a Basic one would be more than enough!
2. TWEETDECK for Twitter management.
While I am not the biggest fan of Twitter and use it to read news and articles from my favourite magazines, it still is a fantastic platform to grow business.
If you are using Twitter as part of your social media strategy, you need to be consistent and persistent with using it. Most experts say that to get the best out of Twitter, you need to tweet 15 times a day.
15 TIMES A DAY.
Who has that much time to spend tweeting, right?
Well, that is where TweetDeck comes to save you! It is a perfect app for Twitter management. It has all the features you need to manage your account and yet is so comfortable and straightforward to use.
I might start using Twitter so I can use TweetDeck, that’s how freaking good it is!
When you log in with your Twitter account, you have all the essential stuff in one screen:
You can see your feed, notifications, messages and activity all in one place! Also, you have an option to add more columns like trending page or user feed to see what you have posted.
Also, you can schedule your tweets quickly and even message other people with just one click:

Also, did I mentioned that it is free? No? Well, then… IT IS FREE TO USE!
All in all, if you are using Twitter for your business you MUST use TweetDeck, trust me.
3. TAILWIND for Pinterest management.
This one probably doesn’t surprise you, right? Well, I am not surprised (haha), because everyone is using Tailwind to manage their Pinterest.
Tailwind has SO. MANY. FEATURES. It is crazy!
There is a reason why it so hyped up; I have not yet come across a Pinterest management tool that has so many features that are helpful for everyone (however, at the moment I am trying out another Pinterest management tool and will update you on it if I like it!).
So, let’s discuss what features does Tailwind offer:
1. Weekly performance – it shows you an overall of how your account is doing this week.
2. Tribes – probably THE BEST feature of Tailwind so far and a fantastic tool to help you grow your Pinterest account.
3. Publisher – lets you schedule your pins, create drafts and your schedules when to post.
4. Insights – very detailed and helpful analytics.
As you can see, Tailwind has a lot to offer and can help you make the best out of your Pinterest account. While pinning manually is not a bad thing, and I still do it even though I use scheduling tools, it does take much time. I completely understand if not everyone has an hour or so a day to spend pinning and for those people, scheduling tools are a way to go.
You can use Tailwind for free and schedule 100 pins, join five tribes and pin 30 pins to those tribes a month. If you want to upgrade, the Tailwind Plus account is $15 a month, and then you have to pay extra for different tribe plans.
Overall, the monthly price for all the features you get is pretty affordable and worth it if you want to save time.
4. HASHTAGIFY for hashtags.
So, this tools the ULTIMATE hashtag management tool. It helps you see what hashtags are doing the best, what accounts have the most influencer using those hashtags and much more.
It allows you to track your Twitter account and even get suggestions on what works best for your account.
While it is pretty easy to find the best hashtags manually, this tool gives you so many insights and analytics that it will blow your mind.
Hashtagify not only saves you time, but it also helps you grow your account through hashtag marketing. However, it comes with a pretty big price tag. They have three plans (and then shit loads of add-ons), and all of them offer a free-trial. So, if you are interested, you can first try it out and see if you like this tool before committing to a plan that costs anywhere between $19 to $250 a month.
5. BUFFER for managing all social media platforms.
Last but not least on my list is Buffer. It is a very popular social media marketing tool and for a reason. It is effortless to use and has a right amount of features considering it lets you manage all your social media platforms.
You can connect six different social media platforms and manage them all with one click – Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn.
If you are using all of those social media platforms for your business, it is a good idea to use Buffer to manage them rather than many different tools at the same time. However, Buffer does not have analytics so you will not have reports on how your accounts and posts are doing.
Also, it allows you to post 100 posts a month and has a social media calendar feature that can be helpful when planning your content.
While 100 posts a month might not sound a lot and the fact that there is no analytics feature can seem like Buffer is not worth a try, you can’t beat its price. For only $15 a month you can manage all your social media platforms in one place! I believe, it is a good starting point for every entrepreneur.
